195hp Here a good look at the rebuilt engine, a 230 cubic inch tower of power from a 1966 Acadian pushing out 195 HP. Another welcome addition to the 1963 C10 trucks was a coil front suspension.

Once Pete has completed the front clip, the next step will be to assemble the box and lay down the floor boards. Hopefully the salty air doesn't start to oxidize these beauties.

As you can see, the front clip is being inspected for structural integrity by a representative from K-9 services. Let's hope the inspector did not mark their territory.
That's what I'm talkin'bout! Get'er done!
The truck is starting to collect some debris. It better not start looking like the Clothes Hanger (Treadmill) that Pete's wife bought him for his birthday...
This project would not be possible if Pete didn't have the model on the dash to show him where all of the parts go.

Spring 2018 Update

So... the truck is back from paint. Unfortunately, Pete thought that he was reading his itemized receipt for all of the work on this project. Once he picked up his new glasses, he realized that it was only the tie down strap.
That's right boys and girls, bask in the eternal glow of 1963 Corvette Saddle Tan, you can almost smell it through your computer.
The boys are installing the sound deadener mat. This mat is necessary to reduce the sound of their excitement when they hit the road on their maiden voyage in 2020.

Sorry Heath... The hood has taken precedent over your favourite spot to "sleep off' your afternoon visits to Pete's garage.
This is what Pete refers to as "OCD on cardboard". Yes he has a plan to wrap these bolts in something soft before they are attacked by a wrench. They will also be sent out for a wet sand and fresh coat of wax.
Here is Pete checking how well his paint matches. Not sure what he is doing with his tongue, best guess is he is perfecting his impression of Corky from "Life Goes On"
Windshield and front end are coming along nicely. The door also opens by pushing the button on the handle instead of pulling it (Someone put the inner door assembly together backwards).
Interior is looking beautiful. Don't be alarmed by all of the tissues. Nickelback song "Photograph" was playing on the radio and Pete had a good cry trying to figure out what the hell was on Joey's head.
